Herding
In the summer of 2007 we were introduced to herding.
Although I've seen standard poodles herd, I have never seen a
miniature. The Poodle Club of Canada hosted a Herding
Instinct Test in August 2007 and here are the pictures of Bowie
bringing out his natural instinct. He earned his Herding
Instinct Certificate that day.

| September 16, 2008: In a return to "Have Ewe Herd" Bowie thrilled and wowed the other Poodle owners with his speed, endurance, and tenacity with four sheep. We are definitely going to continue with his training in 2009 - he is a natural. Owen earned his HIC as well - but needed permission from "mum". Once he got going though he was a very brave Poodle, even challenging a rather stubborn ewe. Well done Poodle dudes! |
